Alejandro

I am a doctoral student at UCL in the Department of Medical Physics & Bioengineering and an affiliate at the UCL Centre for Digital Humanities. My research is about medical image processing methods and their application in digitisation of ancient manuscripts. Specifically, I am working with multi-spectral images of palimpsestic documents, and how previously unreadable text can be recovered using image processing algorithms. If that didn’t sound like a mouthful to you, send me an e-mail and I’ll give you more.

I am also interested in visualisations and experimental interfaces. I am a HUCO graduate, where I got involved with a series of projects that were attempting to partner technology and the humanities to create something new.
